LTM have offered the GIS hoist for approximately 2.5 years now in its British Standard BS 7906: Part 1, Category A form for suspending above people without secondary suspension. We offer the GIS for the following reasons.
Its adaptability to be converted to the British Standard with two brakes, 4 position limits, clutch outside of the drive train and stops on each end of the chain.
Obtaining higher safety factors is very easy because we simply de-rate the hoist.
The hoist is small and quiet.
John Jones, Managing Director of LTM, has used GIS hoists since 1988 and since starting with the entertainment version, LTM and their clients have been very pleased with the results.
The chain can be supplied in a black colour with black chain.
The hoist is very quiet compared to most other chain hoists.
The hoist also has a removable polyamide chain guide assembly which means that inspections and replacing the chain guide can be carried out very quickly and easily.
Gis equipment has been provided for many hoist installations comprising approximately 400 Entertainment versions units including a large job in ACCL Liverpool; this job was for 20 x 3 tonne hoists on a mother grid and over 70 hoists of 500Kg and 1000Kg for use around the Convention Centre.
